EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY COACH
I became the instructional coach, and the face of the Verizon Innovative Learning Schools grant at Akili in 2021.
I am an active partner in strategic discussions with administrators, Digital Promise, and additional partners on implementing and activating processes and technology.
I coached a team of twenty-four 5 - 8th educators to use educational technology strategically so that all students have the skill development they'll need to thrive in a 21st-century workplace.

CHANGE AGENT
While many schools gave up on their enrichment programs, I led the paradigm shift at Akili by bringing in my knowledge of videography, music, and web design and led a team to create the first virtual showcase at Akili. I acted as the creative director, videographer, and editor to curate performance content.
This effort led to four additional virtual showcases and the norm of always having a virtual component to the annual winter, spring, and Black History Month showcases at Akili Academy of New Orleans.

REMIXING THE MUSIC CLASSROOM
I first brought my passion for music into the classroom as a K-5 general music teacher in 2011 and later moved to middle and high school concert bands.
I began working at Akili Academy of New Orleans as the music teacher. During the pandemic, I used the knowledge that I'd gained from years as a music industry professional and content creator to develop a music technology curriculum in response to the limitations that Covid-19 put on music education at Akili.
